Ignore The Push Button Snake Oil Salesmen

There are way too many sharp operators on the web that are only too happy to take your cash.

It seems like every time you go onto Youtube these days to watch a video you get either an advert that runs for 30 seconds or some so-called guru bozo sat on a Yacht telling you that he "used to be like you" and now he is superbly rich because he found a secret and will share it with you for $47,$97 or indeed a heck of a lot more.

Listen friends, I am telling you this. It is a load of BS.

There is no shortcut to earning big money. It takes hard work, perseverance and tenacity.

If you are determined to do it and follow real examples of folk who have made a decent income offline and then duplicate the methods to your business either online or off, then you have a greater chance of success.

There is no magic button. There is no short cut. And you don't need to listen to all these guys who say that you have to spend a load of cash either.
99.99% of resources that you need on the web are free. Blogs are free.

You don't need hosting. I have been using Google's Blogger from when it first came out in 1999 and it has NEVER let me down. In 16 years it has cost absolutely nothing to use and delivers great results.
The key to internet marketing is this:

Content and or product and Traffic. That is it. Nothing else.

You could have a 25,000 square foot store in the middle of the Kalahari Desert. In that store you have the most amazing products....but you never sell anything..because you never get any visitors.
Or, you could have a tiny burger van on a street in downtown New York City. All you sell is burgers....but you sell a lot.

You have to think about an online business like this.

Content-Product and Traffic.

Don't let anybody blind you with all the bells and whistle BS about your site has to look like this or that.
It needs to be something you have a passion or interest in.
It needs to be something you feel you can do for the rest of your life too!

That sounds deep doesn't it? But think of it this way, if you are deciding to build a blog or website about something you really believe in, then is it such a stretch to expect to still be into that thing in say 5, 10 or 20 years time? I don't think it is.

If you love Music now or Football or Boxing or making stuff or cooking or anything now....there is a huge chance you will later in life. Comic books are a great example.

I loved comics when I was a kid and love all of the DC and Marvel spin offs in the tv and movies now as well. You take these passions with you all your life.

Find something you love and take that passion online.
Here is my absolute top tip to success in either an offline or online business.

Research someone or some business that is similar to what you want to do.

Then all you have to do is this: Copy it! I don't mean literally copy it word for word...but let's say you want to open a fast food business. Do you think reading a book by Ray Kroc who built McDonalds would be a good thing to do?
I do.
Or if you wanted to open a shop selling great groceries to your local population, then maybe reading about how Sam Walton of Walmart went about starting his business would be a good idea too.

Similarly, if you want to build an online business only and be the next Mark Zuckerberg or Jeff Bezos, then maybe reading a bit about these guys would help you too.

You see, there is no difference between those guys and you. They are or were humans. And they took something that already existed..and made it unique to them.

And you can too. You just need to have some vision, find something you love to do,work hard at it and ignore the BS.
